About TEWA
TEWA is a partnership between Iberville Parish District Schools, Pointe Coupee Parish Schools, and West Baton Rouge Parish schools, created to expand career pathway opportunities for high school students in Louisiana. By hosting career classes, instructors, and resources, these districts provide students with greater access to career and technical education (CTE).
In collaboration with Empower Schools, Stead State Impact, and businesses including Exxon Mobil, TEWA offers hands-on training in high-demand fields. Starting in freshman year, students are invited to enroll as they select their high school schedule.
What We Do
TEWA connects students with real-world career training, work-based learning, industry certifications, and dual-credit opportunities. Students can take career-focused courses at any participating school, regardless of their home district.
By uniting schools and industry partners, TEWA ensures students gain valuable skills and experience,preparing them for college, certification programs, or direct entry into high-wage careers.
