TEWA Pathway Enrollment Information

TEWA career pathways are open to public high school students from Iberville Parish, Pointe Coupee Parish, and West Baton Rouge Parish.

Enrollment Window: Enroll starting in December of 8th grade. Current high school students please share your interest before the end of the first grading period of your current school year.

HOW TO ENROLL

  1. You will be provided with information about TEWA during your high school course selection process conducted by school administrators, counselors, or others at your high school.

  2. Request to participate in TEWA as part of the course selection/enrollment process at your high school.

  3. You will work with your school counselor to enroll in a TEWA

Student Enrollment Considerations

Any student with available time in their schedule when choosing their coursework is eligible to join TEWA. Consider some factors that would make you most likely to be successful in CTE courses.

A high school student is likely to be ready for TEWA if they demonstrate one or more of the following:

  • Demonstrated that he/she can successfully handle the course work, activities, requirements, etc.

  • Demonstrated positive behavior or work ethic.

  • Demonstrated a genuine interest in the career field, i.e. courses taken, hobbies, club participation, etc.
